With the objective of promoting physical fitness, good health, friendship, and stronger community bonds, Campbelltown Eagles has officially launched its new hiking program in the Campbelltown area of Sydney.
The new initiative by Campbelltown Eagles Sports was inaugurated during a morning event held at Keith Longhurst Reserve in Minto. Campbelltown City Council Deputy Mayor Masud Chowdhury attended the event and officially inaugurated the program.
According to the organizers, the purpose of the hiking program is not limited to walking or physical exercise alone. Key goals of the initiative include bringing people out of their busy urban lives, getting closer to nature, engaging in regular physical activity, and strengthening social ties with family and friends.
Participating in the inaugural event, the Deputy Mayor stated that Campbelltown Eagles Sports is not merely a sports club, but a community. He described the addition of hiking activities alongside sports such as cricket, badminton, and table tennis as a positive expansion.
He further noted that such initiatives in today's busy life encourage people to stay active and build real-life connections with one another. Through hiking, it is possible to advance healthy living and social engagement simultaneously.
