Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff was targeted in a shooting incident in Mumbai, India. On Sunday evening, as he was leaving a football ground in the Juhu area in a car, miscreants fired multiple shots at his vehicle. Although Tiger Shroff was not hit by bullets, two people, including his driver, were injured. Police have detained three individuals from Rajasthan on suspicion of involvement in the incident.
Videos captured by eyewitnesses show at least two individuals firing multiple shots from a very close range targeting the front passenger seat of the actor's slow-moving vehicle. Tiger Shroff, who was inside the car during the attack, escaped with his life. However, detailed information regarding whether he sustained any injuries on his body is not yet known.
Following the incident, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Tiger Shroff's residence to meet him. Bandages were seen on the upper part of the actor's body at this time. Shinde stated that the actor was mentally shaken by the incident and warned that such attempts to intimidate people will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis described the incident as serious and condemnable. Assuring the prompt arrest of those involved in the attack, he said the government will take necessary measures to ensure Tiger Shroff's security.
According to Rajasthan Police information, two of the three detainees are residents of Haryana and Bihar, and they had been living in Mumbai for several years. The other detainee is a minor. They are expected to be handed over to the Mumbai Police subsequently.
Meanwhile, police have not yet been able to confirm who is behind the attack. Indian media reports have circulated an audio recording of a person claiming a connection to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. However, the authenticity of the recording has not been verified, and police have not confirmed the gang's involvement in the attack.
This incident has raised fresh concerns regarding the security of stars in Bollywood. The All Indian Cine Workers Association condemned the attack and stated that criminal activities targeting individuals in the film industry are being used to create an atmosphere of fear and attempt extortion. The organization has demanded strict action against the attackers and increased security for film industry personnel.
