A horse named Jenny in the U.S. state of Ohio has set a Guinness World Record for tail length. The horse's tail measures 13 feet and 6 inches long, which is approximately 412.62 centimeters. The horse's full name is Mountjoy’s Ice Princess.
The tail's length was officially measured on July 25, 2026, in Spring Valley, Ohio. Guinness World Records later confirmed this recognition. Previously, a horse held the record in 2007 with a tail length of 12 feet and 6 inches.
Jenny's owners, Mackenzie Low and Rachel Estes, stated that they spent about seven years taking care of the horse to help grow her tail so long. For American Saddlebred horses, a long and attractive tail is considered a special feature.
Keeping such a long tail clean and well-groomed is also quite a laborious task. After the record was confirmed, Jenny's tail was trimmed slightly.
