The biennial general meeting of Ekushe Academy Australia was held on Sunday, September 13, at the Ashfield Town Hall in Sydney. During the annual meeting, outgoing General Secretary Bulbul Ahmed Saju and Treasurer Md. Fakhruddin Ahmed presented the organizational and financial reports for the years 2024–2026, respectively.
Outgoing President Dr. Sultan Mahmud delivered the presidential address at the event. Later, the 2024–2026 committee was dissolved, and the responsibility of electing a new biennial committee was handed over to Election Commissioner Dr. Mehedi Farhan.
Subsequently, based on a general consensus, Dr. Mehedi Farhan announced the election of the new committee for the 2026–2028 term. The leaders of the new committee are President Amiya Matin, Vice-President Piasa Barua, General Secretary Taslim Ahmed, Assistant General Secretary Dr. Monira Haque, Treasurer Md. Fakhruddin Ahmed, Cultural Secretary Nancy Barrell, Publication Secretary Dr. Sakhawat Nayan, and Publicity Secretary Purabi Parmita Bose. The general members are Nehal Neyamul Bari, Dr. Sultan Mahmud, Bulbul Ahmed Saju, Engineer Abdul Matin, Al Noman Shamim, Anisur Rahman, and Lily Gomez.
