Expatriate Bangladeshis in Australia are working with deep interest and enthusiasm regarding the country's politics and future. Discussing the role and organizational strength of these expatriates during a meeting with the leader is a tremendous achievement for us. She expressed satisfaction with the success of every meeting, gathering, and activity of the Australia Awami League and provided guidance.

My two direct and unforgettable meeting experiences with former Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina from Delhi have opened a new horizon in my political life. During these two prolonged meetings—first on July 12, 2026, and second on September 30, 2026—I saw her as an irresistible, resolute, confident, and vibrant leader. Adversity has not deterred her even a bit; rather, in her eyes and expression was an indomitable determination to work for the welfare of the country and the people and an unquenchable radiance to build a new Bangladesh.

The most important and sensational aspect of our discussion during the meeting was her firm announcement of returning to the country in December. This is not an ordinary return; it is a historic call for the re-establishment of democracy, the rule of law, and the fundamental rights of the people in Bangladesh.

Earlier, through an interview given to Reuters in July and an audio message at a media event in Delhi in August, she expressed her unwavering resolve to return to the country in December, and in her conversation with me, she made that stance even clearer and final. She stated that at the time of her return to the country in December, at least one person from every household in the country should prepare to come to Dhaka and welcome this historic return. Her announcement has infused a new life among crores of leaders, activists, and common people.

Throughout the duration of the meetings, she appeared extremely natural, cheerful, and joyful. Personal desires or narrowness have not touched her. Her entire focus was on the common people of the country, the country's democracy, development, and future political trajectory. With extreme patience and attention, she listened to us, inquired about the organizational activities of the Australia Awami League, and highly praised the expatriate leaders and activists, thereby encouraging them. Without making any medical evaluation, as a political observer, I can unequivocally state that the fire in her eyes, the firmness in her voice, and her confident gestures prove that she is mentally as unyielding as a mountain.

The discussion repeatedly brought up the close relationship between the people of the country and the Awami League. People's Leader Sheikh Hasina clearly believes that 'the power of the people is the biggest strength of the Awami League.' Under any circumstances, maintaining patience, prudence, and organizational unity, the trust of the people must be upheld. This visionary message of hers has multiplied our responsibility and patriotism even while sitting on foreign soil.

These two meetings on July 12 and September 30 prove that far from being inactive in the country's politics, Sheikh Hasina is rather returning with a more dynamic and vigorous role. Her resolve to return to the country in December has ignited a new beacon of hope in the hearts of millions of pro-democracy people in the country today. Finally, I want to say this—crossing thousands of ups and downs in her political journey, Sheikh Hasina is once again going to prove how deeply rooted her seat is in the hearts of the people of Bangladesh. Her return to protect democracy, the rule of law, and the rights of the people will take the country to a unique height. Joy Bangla, Joy Bangabandhu!
