Gold prices have decreased once again in the Bangladesh market. This time, the price has been reduced by a maximum of 1,691 Taka per bhori. Alongside this, silver prices have also been decreased. The new rates came into effect from 10:00 AM on Thursday (October 22).
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) stated that the prices of these two precious metals have been adjusted in the domestic market due to a decrease in the prices of pure gold and silver. A drop in gold prices in the global market is also one of the key reasons for this price reduction.
According to the new price list, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori has been set at 226,340 Taka. The price of 21-carat gold is 216,192 Taka, 18-carat gold is 185,691 Taka, and traditional method gold is 151,690 Taka.
Previously, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori was 228,031 Taka. The price of 21-carat was 217,767 Taka, 18-carat was 187,032 Taka, and traditional method gold was 152,798 Taka.
As a result, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori has decreased by 1,691 Taka. The price has decreased by 1,575 Taka for 21-carat, 1,341 Taka for 18-carat, and 1,108 Taka for traditional method gold.
Earlier on October 13, BAJUS had reduced gold prices by a maximum of 3,266 Taka per bhori. Prices have been reduced yet again following that previous price cut.
Meanwhile, BAJUS has also reduced silver prices. According to the new rates, the price of 22-carat silver per bhori is 4,024 Taka, 21-carat is 3,849 Taka, 18-carat is 3,324 Taka, and traditional method silver is 2,508 Taka. The price of silver has been reduced by a maximum of 175 Taka per bhori.
